Gloria’s Bugie is continuing to establish herself as one of East Africa’s notable Afrobeat and dancehall artists, with her music gaining attention across Uganda and the wider region.

Born as Busingye Gloria in Rwanda and raised in Uganda, the singer developed an interest in music while still in school, participating in choir performances and music competitions from an early age.

Her professional journey later took shape after meeting producer Eli Arkhis of Route Entertainment, who helped introduce her to the mainstream music industry.

Over the past few years, Gloria Bugie has become widely known for songs such as “Nyash,” also known by fans as “Bankyawa,” alongside other releases including “Ready,” “Panama,” “Today,” and “Chikicha” featuring B2C.

Her growing influence has also earned her recognition beyond Uganda. In 2025, she won the Best Female East African Artist award at the Zikomo Africa Awards in Tanzania. The singer also received YouTube’s Silver Creator Award after surpassing 100,000 subscribers on her official channel.

Beyond music, Gloria Bugie has also been involved in community outreach activities, particularly within Kampala suburbs. One of her notable appearances was a birthday celebration held in Nalukolongo, where she interacted with residents and fans.

With Afrobeat and dancehall continuing to dominate the East African entertainment scene, Gloria Bugie remains among the artists shaping the sound of Uganda’s new generation of musicians.
