Three people have been confirmed dead after a passenger bus travelling from Kampala collided with a Toyota Noah along the Mbarara–Bushenyi Road in Rwentuuha Town Council, Bushenyi District.

The accident occurred when the Tausi bus crashed into the Noah vehicle under circumstances that police are still investigating.

The collision resulted in the immediate death of three people, while several others were left injured.

Local residents and passers-by quickly gathered at the scene and assisted in rescuing survivors before emergency responders arrived.

The injured victims were later transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Police have since towed the wreckage from the road to allow normal traffic flow and launched investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Authorities are expected to release further details about the identities of the victims once their families have been notified.
