Ugandan musician Bebe Cool has agreed to end his public exchange with former Miss Rwanda Jolly Mutesi after days of accusations, denials and a legal warning.

Bebe Cool, whose real name is Moses Ssali, said on June 18, 2026, that Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba had called him and advised him to drop the matter from social media.

“This morning I received a call from my big brother, @mkainerugaba, regarding the issue with Jolly. As my elder and leader, he advised me to drop it, delete the tweets, and resolve it amicably off social media since we are both family to him and there is no need for a public spat,” Bebe Cool wrote.

“I appreciate his guidance and agree.”

The statement appears to end a dispute that began when Bebe Cool accused Mutesi of scamming him in a matter linked to Rwanda, Arsenal Football Club and possible sponsorship deals.

He later shared screenshots of chats with a contact saved as “Jolly UK Arsenal Stadium”. The person in the chats claimed links to the Rwanda High Commission in London, Visit Rwanda, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Bebe Cool also claimed he had seen Mutesi at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London before receiving messages and calls from the contact. He then asked President Paul Kagame to order an investigation, saying Rwanda’s name was being misused.

Mutesi denied the claims and said Bebe Cool had been deceived by impersonators. She insisted that she had no role in the alleged scheme.

Her lawyers, Mbidde & Co. Advocates, later issued a notice dated June 17, 2026. They accused Bebe Cool of defamation and demanded that he retract the allegations, apologise and stop making further claims within 48 hours.

The lawyers also said Mutesi had never dealt with Bebe Cool and had no link to the phone number he published. They added that Mutesi had previously warned the public about fraudsters using her identity.

It remains unclear whether Bebe Cool’s latest statement followed direct talks with Mutesi or whether the threatened legal action will be withdrawn.
