Ugandan radio personality and podcaster Doreen Nasasira has revealed that she turned down a Shs 360 million offer from a man who wanted her to accept his romantic advances, saying men who use money to win her over are a turn-off.

Nasasira said her inbox is filled with messages from young men asking for a chance with her, with some insisting they are capable of handling her despite their age.

She questioned what the young men mean when they claim they can handle her, wondering what exactly they intend to handle.

The media personality also opened up about an encounter with a wealthy man who recently approached her with a substantial financial offer in an attempt to win her affection.

“I didn’t say I was searching, but a sugar daddy is in there, and he recently approached me with money. I don’t know why some men front money because, for me, it’s a turn-off. He told me he had Shs 360 million for me to say yes to him,” she said.

According to Nasasira, she rejected the offer because she became suspicious that the man might have been trying to use her to prove a point to his friends rather than pursuing a genuine relationship.

“Maybe he wanted to use me as a bet to win among his boys that he can get me at Shs 360 million? I can’t accept that,” she added.

Nasasira explained that she prefers a more traditional approach to dating, where a man takes time to get to know her and gradually builds a connection instead of using money to influence her decision.

She said she prefers the old-school style of romance, which involves going on dates and allowing affection to develop naturally through gestures such as hugging and kissing.

“I reject such approaches for health reasons, and also I like the old-school kind of way of vibing, where you take me process by process, go on dates, hug, kiss… like that,” she said.
