Ugandans have been called on to brace for a new financial system being developed by the government through the Central Bank, which could forever alter their financial freedoms.

Former presidential candidate Joseph Kabuleta issued a stark warning about the Bank of Uganda’s planned digital payment system, linking it to global surveillance agendas and even biblical prophecy.

Speaking at the Watchers Conference on Saturday in Kampala, Kabuleta claimed the move toward a cashless economy may open the door to unprecedented government control.
