Spice Diana Opens Up About Childhood Struggles And Mother’s Sacrifices

One of Uganda’s trending female musicians, Spice Diana real name is Namukwaya Hajara Diana, speaks out on her memories and also how her mother used to work as a maid to provide them a good life.

“My mother separated from our father when I was around three years of age. I was quite young, but I understood a few things. She took us to Kiboga at our grandmother’s home and came back to Kampala to hustle, working as a maid to make life better for us,” Spice Diana explained.

Spice Diana also said that her mother got divorced from her father at a tender age of three years old, and she went to Kampala to make a better life.

“ My mother left me and my sister at our grandmother’s home in Kiboga District, and after working for months as a maid in Kampala, our mother came back to get us to stay with her,” said Spice Diana.

Spice Diana also added saying that after a while, her mother found a new man who accepted and took them in as his our biological children.

“He took us to school, provided us with all the basic needs and also showed us the parental love for many years till the disagreements started to develop between my mother and him,” added Spice Diana.

The man walked out of our lives and never came back.

Spice Diana still remains deeply thankful to her mother, who stepped up and worked tirelessly for their future and made her the strong, responsible woman she is today.
