Police in Nsangi are investigating the mysterious death of a sex worker identified only as Patricia, whose body was discovered at a local lodge in Kasenge, Kyengera Town Council, under circumstances that have raised serious concerns.

According to preliminary police reports, Patricia had been staying at Sanyuka Lodge with a man identified as Muwonge Godi, also known by the alias “Kabaka Aperu.”

The two reportedly checked into the lodge around 4 a.m. on September 7, 2025, after paying Shs10,000 for a room. Witnesses say the pair frequently left the lodge to go drinking, returning in the early morning hours to rest.

On the morning of September 9, 2025, the two returned around 9 a.m. Patricia was allegedly heavily intoxicated and unable to make it into their room.

Muwonge is said to have gone out to buy milk in an attempt to help her sober up. However, Patricia was later found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

In a disturbing turn of events, Muwonge reportedly fled the area shortly after discovering Patricia’s condition.

Authorities were quickly notified, and police from Nsangi responded by securing the scene, recording witness statements, and recovering the milk container believed to have been brought by the suspect.

Patricia’s body was transferred to the city mortuary for a postmortem examination, which is expected to shed light on the cause of death.

Nsangi Police Division has since opened a death inquiry file as investigations into the incident continue.

The Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman, Patrick Onyango confirmed the ongoing probe and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
