LIRA, Uganda — Professor Andrew Anthony Cula, the former Vice Chancellor of All Saints University Lango (ASUL), was found dead at his residence near Chogm Gardens in Lira City early this morning. Authorities have not yet released details surrounding the circumstances of his death.
Prof. Cula served as Vice Chancellor of All Saints University Lango, a private institution founded in 2008 by the Diocese of Lango and recognised by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education. The university is known for offering a range of undergraduate and diploma programmes with a mission of “Enlightenment with Godliness.”
Earlier this year, Prof. Cula concluded his two‑term tenure as Vice Chancellor, handing over leadership to the incoming management team. In his farewell address, he thanked university authorities and the broader community for their support during his years of service.
At this stage, officials have not disclosed how Prof. Cula died or what might have led to his passing. No cause of death has been announced, and investigations by law enforcement are ongoing.
