The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has stated that he has no objections to musicians wearing revealing attire during stage performances, emphasizing it as part of their artistic expression. However, he urged artists to maintain responsible dressing off-stage.

Buganda Kingdom’s Premier, Charles Peter Mayiga, has voiced his support for artistic freedom in stage costumes, asserting that he does not object to musicians performing in skimpy outfits. Mayiga characterized such attire as a legitimate aspect of an artist’s work and entertainment persona.

“It is part of their work and it is okay, but after the stage, they should dress responsibly,” Mayiga explained, drawing a distinction between on-stage performance and personal life.

The Katikkiro’s comments came during his endorsement of singer Karole Kasita’s forthcoming concert. His stance reflects a broader trend of public figures acknowledging the unique demands and expressions of the entertainment industry.
