Singer Joshua Baraka has teased fans with news that his much-anticipated collaboration, Commando, featuring Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage, will be released earlier than planned.

Baraka revealed that the song, which was initially scheduled for November alongside his upcoming project, will now drop in October following what he described as an overwhelming reception.

“The reception on Commando is crazy. 🥹♥️ I’m going to release it in October instead of November with the project,” Baraka said.

The singer also thanked his fans, known as the Natives, for giving him the confidence to represent Uganda on the international stage.

“Thank you Natives for always giving me the confidence when I walk into a room anywhere in the world,” he added.

Tiwa Savage, who features on the song, also responded warmly to Baraka’s announcement, thanking him for involving her in the project.

“Thank you for having me on this one, Joshua ❤️,” the Nigerian star said.

The collaboration brings together two artists from different sides of the African music scene, raising anticipation among fans eager to hear what they have created together.

Baraka has continued to build his profile beyond Uganda, while Tiwa Savage remains one of Nigeria’s most recognised female music stars.
