In an emotional interview with a local Ugandan television station, Bajjo Man, the younger brother of opposition leader Bobi Wine, has spoken out about the recent security raid on the family home and the escalating intimidation they face.

Bajjo Man appeared visibly shaken and at times broke down in tears as he described the traumatic incident last week, where security forces allegedly stormed the property. He expressed deep outrage over the reported brutalisation of Bobi Wine’s wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi.

“Why would they go ahead and brutalise the wife? Is it illegal for one to contest against President Museveni? It was a horrible experience and very disturbing,” he said, voice cracking with emotion.

He revealed that the family is living under constant fear, with security personnel permanently stationed at their gates, conducting round-the-clock surveillance. Bajjo Man admitted he has gone days without speaking to his brother, unsure of Bobi Wine’s current whereabouts since he reportedly left home on January 15 this year and went into hiding amid heightened political tensions.

“We are in constant fear and don’t know who will be arrested next,” he added. “We don’t even speak for his own good – to protect him.”

The statement underscores the growing anxiety within the Kyagulanyi family as opposition figures continue to report harassment, raids, and threats in Uganda’s charged political climate. Bajjo Man’s tearful plea highlights the human cost of political dissent, leaving many questioning the safety of those challenging the long-standing leadership.
