From the heart of Africa to the international electronic music scene, B WAVE is carving out a distinctive musical identity built on cultural fusion, experimentation and a passion for sound.
As the founder of Black & White 360 Music Agency and the mind behind the Remixes by Black & White project, he is on a mission to give African-inspired music a fresh electronic interpretation without stripping it of its original character.
His sound is a meeting point between African rhythmic traditions and European electronic influences, bringing together Afro House, Afro Tech, organic percussion and contemporary dance production.
Rather than simply making music for the dance floor, B WAVE creates sonic experiences. His productions are characterised by deep basslines, intricate rhythmic layers, atmospheric elements and carefully crafted transitions that allow each track to develop its own identity.
His remix philosophy is equally distinctive. Every original composition is treated as a creative starting point, with its vocals, melodies and instrumental elements carefully reimagined into new electronic arrangements while retaining the spirit of the original work.
But B WAVE is not limiting his ambitions to remixing. He is expanding into original compositions, working with vocalists, instrumentalists and producers from different backgrounds to explore new musical possibilities.
One of his biggest ambitions is to introduce AMAPOPCORN, a proposed global fusion genre that combines the melodic energy of Romanian Popcorn dance music with African rhythms and wider world-music influences.
Through multilingual performances, diverse instrumental sounds and modern electronic arrangements, he hopes to develop a signature sound that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.
Behind the B WAVE identity is Radu, the founder of Black & White Parties and Events, the company that also operates Black & White 360 Music Agency.
Interestingly, his journey into music production came after an entirely different professional career. Having spent years working in weapons and ammunition management, Radu reinvented himself as a music producer in his fifties, embracing a new chapter driven by creativity and artistic expression.
His connection to Africa is not merely musical. Having spent more than 15 years in African and multicultural environments and travelled to 28 African countries, he has developed a deep appreciation for the continent’s cultural diversity, rhythms and musical traditions.
Today, B WAVE is bringing those experiences into the studio, using music as a bridge between his Romanian heritage, African influences and the wider international electronic music community.
