UK-based promoter and businessman Jaffar Suleiman has contributed Shs1 million towards the completion of the unfinished house belonging to late comedian Kapere Lufotose, channeling the money through musician King Saha.
The contribution follows King Saha’s public pledge to ensure that the comedian’s unfinished home is completed, regardless of whether additional donations are received.
Speaking at a vigil held at the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters in Makerere-Kavule, King Saha addressed Kapere’s widow, popularly known as Mama Trump, and promised to personally take responsibility for completing the house if necessary. He also offered to support the family with three months’ rent.
Kapere, whose real name was Yokana Mbuuse, died on November 1, 2026, at a hospital in Buddo, Wakiso District. He was widely recognised for his comedy work with the Amarula Family and his distinctive stage persona.
Before his death, the comedian had embarked on constructing a house in Mukono District for his wife and children. However, the project remained unfinished at the time of his passing.
Jaffar Suleiman, who is also known as the father of singer Sheebah Karungi’s son, Amir, is among those who have extended financial support towards the family’s cause.
King Saha had previously revealed that he intended to organise a free performance for Kapere while he was still alive to raise money for the construction project.
The latest contribution adds to the growing efforts by individuals in the entertainment industry and well-wishers to ensure Kapere’s family gets a completed home following his death.
