Ugandan singer Winnie Nwagi has explained why she rarely meets fellow musician Sheebah Karungi, attributing the limited interaction to her demanding performance schedule.
Speaking in a recent interview, Nwagi said her engagements often keep her moving from one show to another, leaving little time for social visits and meetings with fellow artists.
“I am ever busy from show to show. I rarely meet Sheebah,” she said.
However, she dismissed any suggestion of hostility between them, saying their interactions remain friendly whenever they happen to meet.
“If I find her, I be happy and same to her,” Nwagi added.
The singer also spoke about the importance of feeling comfortable around people, describing her energy and enthusiasm as part of her personality and passion.
“If I feel myself when I am around you, that’s my passion,” she said.
Beyond her comments about Sheebah, Nwagi described 2026 as the most successful year of her musical career so far, saying it had surpassed her achievements in 2025.
“2026 is my biggest musical year over 2025,” she declared.
Her remarks point to a year she considers particularly significant, with performances and other musical engagements keeping her occupied.
Nwagi, known for her energetic stage performances and songs that have earned her a strong following in Uganda, continues to maintain her position among the country’s prominent female musicians.
