After three years of staging some of Uganda’s biggest nostalgia concerts, Talent Africa Group has announced the return of its flagship Legends of Sound series, with the third edition scheduled for November 7, 2026, at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

This year’s edition arrives with a fresh concept dubbed “Group Therapy,” a theme that organisers say explores music’s ability to heal, reconnect people and revive cherished memories through timeless classics.

Since its debut, Legends of Sound has established itself as more than just another concert on Uganda’s entertainment calendar. The annual event has become a platform for celebrating legendary African musicians whose music continues to influence generations, while creating rare live experiences for audiences.

Last year’s edition marked one of the country’s biggest musical celebrations as Afrigo Band commemorated its 50-year legacy with a landmark concert that also featured Congolese music legend Koffi Olomidé. A year earlier, the series delivered one of Uganda’s most talked-about entertainment moments by reuniting iconic girl group BLU*3, bringing together Cindy Sanyu, Jackie Chandiru and Lillian Mbabazi on one stage for the first time in years. The very first edition feature Afrigo band celebrating 48 years and were joined by Awilo Longomba.

Building on that legacy, organisers say this year’s production will take audiences on a nostalgic journey through songs that have defined different generations across Uganda and the wider East African region.

Unlike previous editions, Group Therapy has been designed around the emotional connection people have with music. Rather than simply revisiting old hits, the concert aims to celebrate the memories, friendships and life experiences attached to the songs audiences grew up listening to.

Talent Africa Group has, however, kept this year’s artist lineup under wraps, a move that has already fuelled widespread speculation among music lovers over who will headline the concert.

The organisers are promising an evening featuring legendary performers, surprise collaborations, emotional reunions and carefully curated live performances designed to make this the biggest edition of the series yet.

“Legends of Sound has grown into more than an annual concert. It has become a cultural experience that celebrates the music, memories and artists who continue to shape our lives,” a spokesperson for Talent Africa Group said.

According to the organisers, every edition is built around a different story, with this year’s concept focusing on reconnecting audiences with the soundtrack of their lives while celebrating the voices that defined different eras of African music.

The announcement has already ignited conversation across social media, with many fans trying to guess which legendary acts will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Whether the concert delivers another iconic reunion, brings together celebrated regional stars or introduces an entirely new collaborative performance remains one of the entertainment industry’s biggest unanswered questions ahead of the event.

Talent Africa Group says artist announcements, ticket information and additional event details will be released progressively in the lead-up to the November concert.

If previous editions are anything to go by, Legends of Sound: Group Therapy is shaping up to be another major date on Uganda’s live entertainment calendar, promising an evening where nostalgia, music and shared memories once again take centre stage.
