Fast-rising Ugandan Afrobeat sensation Wiz Kaka is making waves once again with the release of his latest single, Ewooma, a captivating love anthem featuring fellow singer Citizen Kirabo.
The song, whose Luganda title translates to “this love is sweet,” was inspired by a real-life encounter that left a lasting impression on the singer.
“The inspiration behind Ewooma came from meeting someone who, within a very short time, ticked all the boxes and made me wonder why I had never met them before,” Wiz Kaka reveals. “It was a beautiful feeling that naturally translated into music.”

Built around smooth melodies and infectious Afrobeat rhythms, Ewooma celebrates the excitement of finding a special connection. The song combines heartfelt lyrics with a laid-back groove, creating the perfect soundtrack for lovers, dancers, and anyone enjoying life’s sweeter moments. Its relaxed atmosphere evokes the warmth of a late-night outing while maintaining an uplifting and danceable energy.
The track was produced by the talented duo McSan and Geo Wrld, before being polished and mastered by renowned sound engineer Herbert Skillz. Together, they crafted a rich sonic experience that highlights the chemistry between Wiz Kaka and Citizen Kirabo.
Ewooma also marks Wiz Kaka’s second major collaboration. Interestingly, the partnership with Citizen Kirabo grew organically after the two crossed paths in a recording studio.

Kirabo, who was already a fan of Wiz Kaka’s music, had initially created the beat specifically for him. However, as the project developed, Wiz Kaka felt the chemistry was too good to ignore and invited Kirabo to feature on the track.
“The song started as a solo project, but after working together, it became clear that we should do it as a collaboration,” says Wiz Kaka.
To complement the song’s romantic and vibrant mood, the accompanying music video was directed by Karl Rayson, a respected visual storyteller known for his work with several Ugandan artists, including Tracy Melon.

The video brings Ewooma to life through captivating visuals that mirror the song’s themes of love, attraction, and celebration.
As his profile continues to rise within Uganda’s music scene, Wiz Kaka is positioning himself as one of the emerging voices to watch in the Afrobeat genre. With its catchy hooks, relatable message, and strong collaboration, Ewooma is expected to further cement his growing reputation among music lovers across the country and beyond.
