KAMPALA, Uganda — September 20, 2026 — Ugandan rapper Ivan Wabwire, popularly known as Da Agent, has been recognised by the Bossip Africa Record Registry as the Fastest Rapper in East Africa, after recording a speed of 8.5 syllables per second.
The record was established on September 19, 2026, following an assessment of a selected passage from Da Agent’s 2024 song, Tewepima Nange.
According to the assessment, the passage contained 33 syllables delivered in 3.75 seconds, resulting in a measured rate of 8.5 syllables per second (SPS).

To verify the performance, the recording was played at reduced speed to allow the syllables to be counted and the duration measured using a stopwatch. The assessment also took into account the pronunciation of both Luganda and English in the selected passage.
Following the measurement, Bossip Africa entered Da Agent into its Record Registry under the title “Fastest Rapper in East Africa.”
The achievement is registered under BA-RR-2026-001.
Da Agent is known for his rapid-fire delivery and has established himself within Uganda’s Lugaflow music scene. He has described his distinctive approach to rap as “Lugaflo Lufula.”

His song Tewepima Nange was released in October 2024. His more recent releases include Daddy Daddy, released in 2026.
The record certificate was signed by Nathan Atiluk, Editor-in-Chief of Bossip Africa.
