Swangz Avenue singer Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi has welcomed Eddy Kenzo’s dare to a public debate.

She accepted the challenge following a recent request that the Big Talent Entertainment boss had tasked her with after an exchange of words concerning her remarks that criticised the government and the music industry.

The “Quinamino” singer suggested that the debate be conducted in the Ghettos where both artists kickstarted their careers.

“He asked for a public debate, and I accept the debate. What makes me happy in all this is that he called it a public debate, so I’m requesting the organisers to take us to the ghettos, where both of us started our journeys,” Azawi said.

She suggested hosting the debate in the communities of Nankulabye or Kasubi—areas known for their grassroots music influence and symbolic of both artists’ humble beginnings.

According to Azawi, such a setting would ensure the conversation remains grounded in the realities of the people they both aim to represent.

“I want people present because I and him, that’s our genesis—the people and the ghettos. I have my questions, and he has his. I want him to tell me why he feels I’m misinforming the youths.”, she emphasised
