At least 30 people have died since the start of May in a single camp for displaced civilians in northeastern Congo.
Camp officials stated that this death rate was unprecedented and, based on the symptoms, could indicate that Ebola is spreading rapidly there.
It has not been possible to confirm the exact causes of death because patients and their relatives in the Kigonze camp in Bunia.
The epicenter of the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo had, until Thursday, refused the testing of both the living and the dead, according to a camp spokesperson and the aid organization Caritas.
