Uganda’s street dance culture is set for a historic moment as the globally celebrated freestyle dance competition, Red Bull Dance Your Style, officially makes its debut in Uganda this May. For the very first time, Ugandan dancers will have the opportunity to compete on one of the world’s biggest street dance platforms, with the Qualifiers taking place on 29th May 2026 at Somewhere Else Bar (formerly Panamera), followed by the National Finals on 30th May 2026 at Vibe House.
The event will bring together some of Uganda’s most talented street dancers in an electrifying showcase of creativity, individuality, rhythm, and freestyle performance, all judged entirely by the audience. Unlike traditional dance competitions, Red Bull Dance Your Style allows dancers to battle head-to-head to a surprise mix of music genres, while the crowd decides who advances and ultimately wins.
The format creates an unpredictable, highly interactive experience that celebrates authenticity, confidence, and crowd connection.

Since its launch in 2018, Red Bull Dance Your Style has evolved into a global cultural movement, spanning over 52 countries worldwide and hosting more than 127 events in 2025 alone. Uganda now joins a prestigious list of participating countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, the United States, Japan, France, Germany, Brazil, South Korea, Australia, Belgium, Thailand, and many others.
