Singer Sheebah Karungi has shared an emotional moment from her son Amir’s first day of preschool, revealing how deeply she was touched to see his father, Suleiman Jaffar, make sure he was there for the special milestone.

Amir, who was born on 23 November 2024, recently started preschool, marking another big moment for the singer as a mother.

Sheebah shared a video of the little boy heading to school for the first time, accompanied by his father and sisters. But beyond Amir’s first day at school, it was Jaffar’s presence that left Sheebah particularly emotional.

According to the singer, Amir’s father extended his flight just so he could personally take his son to school on his first day.

“I have a son who goes to school now?” Sheebah wrote as she reflected on how quickly her little boy is growing up.

She said watching Amir experience the love and presence of his father healed something deeply personal in her.

Sheebah, who has previously spoken about growing up without a father or father figure, said seeing her son with a father who genuinely enjoys being present in his life was an emotional experience.

“As a girl who grew up without a father or a father figure, watching my son have a father who genuinely loves being a dad, shows up, and enjoys fatherhood so effortlessly… heals something in me,” she said.
