Singer Vinka has shut down persistent rumours of competition among Swangz Avenue’s musical talents, emphasising a strong sense of teamwork and mutual support within the record label.

Vinka, a prominent artist under the Swangz Avenue banner, has publicly addressed and dismissed claims of internal rivalry among the label’s roster.

Instead of seeing her fellow musicians as competitors, Vinka posits that the spirit of collaboration and shared success is the driving force behind their collective achievements.

“This is a record label. I don’t see it as competition among my labelmates. It’s a competition with the rest of the world. We support each other here,” Vinka explained in a recent television interview. She highlighted instances of mutual creative support, noting that fellow artiste Azawi penned the song “Love Panic” for her, and she has collaborated with Winnie Nwagi on multiple tracks.

Vinka stressed that the focus is on unity, characterising the Swangz Avenue artistes as a cohesive “movement” determined to succeed together. This internal synergy, she believes, is crucial for their ability to compete effectively in the broader music industry.

The singer sees this collaborative environment as a cornerstone of Swangz Avenue’s sustained growth and success.

By fostering an atmosphere where artists uplift each other, the label ensures its talent is well-positioned to make a significant impact on the music scene, rather than engaging in internal feuds.
