National Cleaning Day to be held on 29 August 2026

The government has announced that the next National Cleaning Day will be held on Saturday, 29 August 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to promote cleanliness and improve sanitation across the country.

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, together with Third Deputy Prime Minister Rukia Nakadama, other ministers and technical officials, briefed the media on the preparations for the national exercise.

The briefing brought together officials from government institutions involved in coordinating the National Cleaning Day activities.

The exercise, which falls on the last Saturday of the month, is expected to mobilise communities and stakeholders to participate in cleaning activities and promote a culture of proper sanitation and environmental cleanliness.
