A head-on collision between two motor-vehicles occured today, 3rd February 2026, in the morning along the Luweero+Butalangu road in Kasana, resultingin three fatalities and several injuries.
The incident involved a white Toyota Hiace UA76CH travelling from Ngoma towards Luweero via Kasana in Kiwoko Town council, which collided head-on with Tata UBJO8O1B heading from Kiwoko towards Butalangu.
Both drivers remain unidentified. The deceased have been identified as Joy kusigwire a 22years, a 22-year-old passenger in UA76CH, and Kigongo Martin, 43 yrs, a passenger in UB0801B.
In UA76CH, additional victims include 9 men,2 women and 2 girl children.
All injured victims have been admitted to Kiwoko hospital for treatment. The three deceased were conveyed to Nakaseke Hospital for postmortem.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution on this stretch of road, adhere to speed limits and avoid reckless driving.
