“I will first give my daughter’s hand in marriage before I think about marriage. I will be watching my beautiful daughter walking down the aisle. I invite you all to celebrate with me. That is when I will think about marriage myself. This year is full of happiness,” said King Micheal.

The Ugandan musician King Micheal Mugwanya said that he will marry after his down is taken.

The singer said this during his interview with Spark TV where he was asked when will he marry and settle down. In his reply, King Micheal said that he would first give away his daughter before he thinks of lifetime commitment.

King Micheal said his daughter will officially introduce his fiancé to him in a traditional celeromy called Kwanjula at their home in Busabala and then weddinng will take place on 23rd May 2026 in Entebbe.

King Michael bragged about being one of the very few artists whose children have officially married. He expressed his pride in having fulfilled the fatherly roles that brought him to that milestone.

“Which artist have you seen giving out their daughter in marriage? I will be the first to do so,” he said.

Michael is one of the few artists who have kept their love life out of the media. A decade back, it was alleged that he secretly visited his longtime lover, Rhona Ndagire’s home in a traditional ceremony.

The couple then welcomed two children, including the late Eric, who perished in a hit-and-run accident on Entebbe Road.
