Club Canvas Sparks Buzz in Kampala With Secretive, Invite-Only Launch

Kampala’s nightlife scene is set for a bold new addition this Saturday as the Muyenga Quarry transforms into the launch ground for Club Canvas, an event that has quietly built buzz through a carefully curated and exclusive rollout.

Unlike the city’s usual party format, Club Canvas has taken a different approach—ditching open ticket sales in favor of a strictly invite-only experience. Access has been limited to a select few who have engaged in targeted activations held at popular nightlife spots, including Fundas in Nakawa, Casablanca along John Babiha Avenue, as well as several locations in Mukono and around Makerere.

The route to securing an invite has been just as unconventional. Partygoers have had to purchase a bucket of six Club shorties to stand a chance of winning entry passes, a strategy that has sparked widespread curiosity and conversation, particularly among university circles and on social media.

As the countdown to the launch continues, the campaign is entering its final stretch with a closing activation scheduled at Clarke University in Muyenga. For those still hoping to attend, organizers have also introduced an online entry option through a microsite shared across Club Pilsener’s digital platforms.

Choosing a quarry as the venue hints at a unique, immersive experience that breaks away from traditional club settings. While organizers are keeping much of the program under wraps, anticipation is building around performances expected to showcase fresh talent and unconventional sounds.

With the debut set for April 11, more details on the lineup and activities are expected to be unveiled soon, as Kampala gears up for what could be one of the most distinctive party experiences of the season.
