Cedric Babu, a prominent Ugandan media personality and sports administrator, is currently in critical condition at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi after collapsing during a trip to Kigali.

He has been diagnosed with severe heart failure, and doctors have recommended an urgent heart transplant abroad as his only chance of survival.

To save his life, Cedric’s family and friends have launched a fundraising campaign to raise £300,000 (about UGX 1.5 billion) for the medical evacuation and transplant surgery.

Cedric is widely recognised for his contributions to media, sports, and public service in Uganda, and is the son of veteran politician Capt.

Francis Babu and businesswoman Olive Kigongo. The public is being urged to support the campaign and help give Cedric a second chance at life.
