Cedric Babu Ndilima’s Tentative Funeral Programme Released By The Family

The family of the late Cedric Babu Ndilima has released his tentative funeral programme.

Based on the details gathered by this website, the late 46, who breathed his last on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, is likely to return his remains on Wednesday or Thursday.

Cedric Babu Ndilima, a prominent Ugandan media personality, sports administrator, and political figure, passed on after a prolonged battle with severe heart failure.

The leadership of PLU today, Monday, commences preparations for the funeral.

“We expect the body to be back from Nairobi on Wednesday or Thursday. Once we have confirmed the day of the return, that will give us the plan for the funeral,” said Michael Mawanda, the Director of Mobilisation for PLU.

The tentative funeral programme has been released by the family:

Sunday, June 1: 17:00hrs – Prayers at Cedric’s home, Plot 1, Fumu Close, Kololo

Monday, June 2: 17:00hrs – Prayers at Cedric’s home

Tuesday, June 3: 17:00hrs – Prayers at Cedric’s home

Wednesday, June 4: 18:00hrs – Mass at Captain Francis Babu’s Residence, Naguru 20:00hrs – Observance of Vigil

Thursday, June 5: 18:00hrs – Mass & Vigil at Captain Francis Babu’s Residence, Naguru

Friday, June 6: Time TBC – Requiem Mass at Rubaga Cathedral, Time TBC – Cortege to Kamengo Home 18:00hrs – Vigil at Kamengo Home

Saturday, June 7: Time TBC – Funeral Ceremony
