The newborn princes have been named Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, according to an official statement from the kingdom. The babies were born on August 27, 2025, and are reported to be in excellent health, alongside their mother.

“The arrival of these little ones is a treasured moment for our family. We are deeply grateful for this double blessing and for the prayers and support from friends and well-wishers. We look forward to introducing our sons to everyone in due course,” the statement read.

News of Queen Mutesi’s pregnancy first emerged in December 2024, following the royal wedding on November 18, 2023.

During a reception at State House in May, President Yoweri Museveni congratulated the Busoga monarch on finding a life partner. He expressed relief that the king had “finally settled into married life,” highlighting the importance of marriage in African culture.

“For years, I encouraged the king to get married. In our culture, building a life is not just about structures—it’s about having a spouse and nurturing a family,” President Museveni said.

He also praised Inhebantu Mutesi for her intelligence and professionalism, noting her background as a financial analyst and pledging to ensure her skills benefit government initiatives. The President affectionately referred to the King as “my son” and the Inhebantu as “my daughter-in-law,” while announcing a gift of 100 cows to the royal couple.

The kingdom and the public alike are now celebrating this joyous expansion of the royal family, marking a significant and happy milestone for Busoga.
