National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine has promised to roll out a nationwide feeding program in all government schools, saying no child should be forced to study on an empty stomach.

Addresing supporters in Busia, Bobi Wine said his government would focus on building a strong economic base that empowers communities to benefit directly from their natural and mineral resources.

He emphasized that no nation could prosper without investing in its children.

He announced plans to implement a school feeding program in all government schools, saying hunger continues to push thousands of children out of classrooms every year, especially in rural and border districts.

“A child cannot learn on an empty stomach. Our government will ensure that every learner in a government school receives a meal. This is not a favor but a right. When we feed our children, we feed the future of our country,” he told supporters.

Bobi Wine also pledged to improve the welfare of security personnel and stabilize the national economy through what he called “protest-driven leadership change”, urging Ugandans to use their vote as a protest against poverty, corruption, and exclusion.

He called on voters in Busia to rally behind NUP candidates at all levels, saying the party’s mission is to build a government that prioritizes people-centered policies and gives every Ugandan child a fair start in life.
