Ugandan music star Bebe Cool is in London tonight for the first international listening party of his latest album, Break the Chains, as part of his ongoing European media tour.

Dubbed “The Break the Chains Playback Party,” the event kicks off at 7 p.m. UK time at the renowned Masq London Bar and Restaurant—a venue that has previously hosted African heavyweights including DavidoRugerPoco Lee, and Ms Banks.

Davido launched his Timeless album there. This marks Bebe Cool’s debut performance at the iconic spot.

The tour, which began last week, has already been packed with memorable moments—from hanging out with WizKid’s DJ, DJ Tunez, to teaching RnB legend Craig David a few Luganda words.

Bebe Cool has also made strategic media rounds, visiting BBC to appear on DJ Edu’s Afrosound show and linking up with DJ Target, before heading to Cosoro Radio, a major Afrobeats hub, to discuss the inspiration and process behind Break the Chains.

London, long a key player in the Afrobeats movement, has been a launchpad for stars like D’Banj and Tiwa Savage—and now, Bebe Cool is adding his chapter to that story.

Unlike his earlier projects built around dominating dance floors, Break the Chains is designed for streaming-era success. Blending Afro-electronicAfrotech, and Afro-pop, the album features collaborations with DJ EduYemi Alade, and Joshua Baraka, uniting established and rising African talent.

“This album is me breaking from what I used to believe in—singing entirely in English, embracing Afrobeats, and speaking to a global audience,” Bebe Cool says.

Break the Chains, released on May 30, is available on all streaming platforms.
