While appearing on Galaxy TV this week, Gagamel International boss Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, expressed interest in teaming up with fellow musician Dr. Jose Chameleone for a musical collaboration aimed at rekindling the unity that once defined Uganda’s music industry.

Bebe Cool, who is currently on a media tour promoting his 16-track album Break The Chains, emphasized that a partnership with Chameleone—and potentially a reunion of the “Big Three” (Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, and Jose Chameleone)—would be a powerful way to inspire and guide the new generation of Ugandan artists.

“As soon as things settle down and this album gains global traction, Joseph [Chameleone] is one of the artists I’d like to work with. I believe in his talent. Just like I collaborated with others in Nairobi, I have no problem doing the same with him,” Bebe Cool stated.

However, he ruled out the possibility of ever working with Bobi Wine, citing deep political divisions between them. Bebe Cool noted that their differing political ideologies have created tension and hostility over the years.

“With Bobi, I don’t see that happening, not unless he comes to realise that politics shouldn’t breed unnecessary enmity. I honestly can’t recall the last time I spoke to him. Maybe it was when we happened to be in the same room during Eddy Kenzo’s concert,” he added.

According to Bebe Cool, reconciliation would only be possible if the National Unity Platform (NUP) leader abandons what he described as divisive political rhetoric.
