The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) held their official press briefing at Krug in Bugolobi, unveiling a major first for this year’s Honorary Gala—the introduction of a Halftime Show, set to premiere on December 19, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

This new addition signals a bold shift for African fashion events, bringing to life a mid-show performance segment that has never before been incorporated into a fashion awards ceremony on the continent.

Speaking at the briefing, partner representative Barbra Lynda explained the motivation behind championing this groundbreaking feature.

“We’re ushering in a fresh wave for the Honorary Gala and giving one African artist a spotlight unlike anything seen before. Vinka will headline this debut Halftime Show because her journey, style, and cultural imprint align perfectly with what this moment represents,” she said.

Lynda further noted that the segment is designed to act as a musical story—an artistic lens into who the performer is beyond their public persona.

Alongside the anticipated Halftime Show, the ASFAs revealed a vibrant entertainment lineup for the night, featuring Elijah Kitaka, Rwanda’s Kevin Kade, Tyra Chantey from Sweden, Rickman, Karole Kasita, Warafiki, Dance by Valentino, DJ Vee, DJ Harold, among others.

ASFAs founder Brian Ahumuza, widely known as Abryanz, expressed excitement about the evolution of the gala. He highlighted the significance of the new performance segment, the elevated guest experience, and the return of Africa’s most glamorous red carpet.

He also reminded the public that the Honorary Gala maintains its exclusive format, with very limited tickets available.

Representing Play It Loud, Shafik Nekambuza announced that the streaming platform will officially launch on December 10, 2025, giving audiences around the world an opportunity to watch the gala live if they miss out on attending physically.

The event also featured a major announcement from Cîroc Vodka, which officially named fashion trailblazer Abryanz as its Brand Ambassador.

Roy Tumwizere, Head of Advocacy at Uganda Breweries, described the renewed partnership as an ideal match—pairing a luxury lifestyle brand with a figure who has continually shaped fashion and culture across the continent.

“Abryanz is boldly creative, stylish, and a cultural driver—qualities at the core of the Cîroc identity. We’ve collaborated with him before, and we are excited to extend that relationship. His impact on fashion and entertainment makes him the perfect force to infuse our energy into the ASFA experience,” he said.

This year’s Honorary Gala is poised to deliver one of the most refined editions yet. Curated as an exclusive, high-value experience, the 2025 event is expected to attract global creatives, industry heavyweights, celebrities, and cultural tastemakers.

Guests can look forward to premium showcases, powerful performances, the revival of Africa’s iconic red carpet, and an atmosphere crafted to celebrate the pinnacle of African excellence.
