Singer Allan Toniks has criticised Sheilah Gashumba, a seasoned media personality and socialite, for always trying to downplay Ugandan artists while praising artists from other countries.

He mockingly thanked her for contributing to the growth of other countries’ music in Uganda, but noted that Uganda owes her a debt for her contribution to the growth of the arts and entertainment of other countries in Uganda.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank @SheilahGashumba for helping sooo much to support & build Nigerian & South African music in UG. We appreciate all efforts. We are forever grateful & appreciative of the awesome work. Uganda owes you a debt for the contribution to the growth of the arts & entertainment of other countries into Uganda—the country you call home… While putting down Ugandans, Allan Toniks wrote
