Bebe Cool’s elder son, also a musician, Allan Hendrik Ssali, has opened up on the strong allegations suggesting that he was committed to a rehabilitation centre over substance abuse.

Allan Hendrik has been off the music scene for some time now, and unconfirmed rumours have consistently suggested that his father, Bebe Cool, had taken him for rehab.

Allan, speaking to Spark TV, strongly denied the allegations, revealing that he was unbothered by the rumor and would no longer defend himself against it.

“I usually let people take what they want to know. That is a topic that has been discussed for about three years, and I no longer feel able to continue addressing it. Those are just rumours. I have been around and my friends that I have been with know. There is no need for me to explain to anybody,” he said.

Contrary to rumors that he cut off his dreads as part of his recovery journey, Allan insisted that his decision came as part of his rebrand and not addiction.

“Me cutting off my hair is not a surprise. Anyone else can change their looks; I’m not the first, nor will I be the last. I can decide to cut it off again because I have the freedom to do so with my hair. It is just branding,” he said.
