Swangz Avenue star Winnie Nwagi, popularly known as the Fire Baby, has released a brand-new single titled Control It.

The song, officially released on June 27, 2025, showcases Nwagi’s signature blend of traditional and dancehall influences wrapped in a smooth, emotionally rich delivery.

Produced by Swangz Avenue, the release includes the original mix, a cappella, and instrumental versions all crafted in-house by the label. Control It is a tender yet cheeky celebration of love as a grounding and transformative force. Inspired by the spontaneous lyric, “Boy, I love how you control it and how you make pretty girls go crazy,” the track reimagines affection as something both steady and intoxicating.

The accompanying music video, also directed by Swangz Avenue, takes the theme a step further. Shot at Nyungu Yamawe Forest Park in Kira, the visuals are lush with natural scenery and cinematic flair. Winnie Nwagi’s on-screen romance unfolds with playful energy, featuring flirtatious banter, emotional tension, and a high-adrenaline motorbike chase that highlights her bold, vibrant persona.

Control It marks what Nwagi calls her “most intentional era yet” as she sets the tone for the second half of 2025. Known for hits like Kwata Essimu, Jangu, Fire Dancer, Okubye Nyo, Everything, Magic, and Take It Slow, the Fire Baby continues to dominate Uganda’s music scene.

Over the past year alone, she’s delivered standout tracks such as The One and Omwami, reaffirming her status as one of Swangz Avenue’s most consistent and enduring hitmakers.
