Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi has cautioned the media against bringing up her man and relationships in every interview.

Winnie Nwagi’s reaction was prompted by a question from Spark TV regarding her love life. The singer, who looked unimpressed by the topic, questioned why every interview was centered around men.

Nwagi emphasized that at this time in her career, she had a lot to deal with, including work commitments and the huge bills that she has to take care of. She chose to prioritize this aspect of her life and couldn’t afford to make men the center of her world.

“The world doesn’t rotate around men. We have a lot of things to do but you are always talking about men. In every interview, you have to fix a man. Sometimes we should talk about other important things besides men. I do not think about men so much because I have a lot of things to deal with. I have bills to pay,” she said.

Nwagi, however, made it clear that her statement was not to discourage listeners from falling in love, mentioning that her intention was to encourage the women to put themselves first and work hard towards their goals.

“I love love and I’m not telling anyone to stop dating but do not front them in everything. Your life doesn’t have to revolve around them because what about you? You need to love yourself first before thinking about any man,” she said.

Winnie Nwagi laughed off the question, asking when she will be ready to officially get married, revealing that she relied heavily on God’s timing and plans for her life.
