B’rakaland EA is already turning up the excitement with its first major act and it is a big one.
Joshua Baraka has announced Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza as the first confirmed act, adding the celebrated East African star to what is shaping up to be a highly anticipated music experience.
The announcement was made on social media, with the organisers teasing fans to secure their tickets before prices go up.
“Please allow me to unveil the first act for B’rakaland EA.My brother @bienaimesol,” the announcement read, accompanied by a reminder for fans to get their tickets early.
Bien, who rose to international prominence as part of Kenyan Afro-pop group Sauti Sol before carving out a successful solo career, has become one of the region’s most recognisable voices.
His solo catalogue, known for its blend of Afro-pop, R&B and contemporary African sounds, has earned him a strong following across East Africa and beyond.
His inclusion on the B’rakaland EA lineup adds an East African flavour to the event and is likely to appeal to fans looking for a live performance from one of the region’s most stylish and energetic performers.
For B’rakaland EA, however, Bien is only the beginning. Joshua Baraka has described him as the first act, suggesting that more names could be unveiled as the event draws closer.
With ticket prices also expected to rise, fans have been encouraged to secure their spots early.
For now, Bien’s name gives the event its first major talking point and if the promise of more acts is anything to go by, B’rakaland EA may have plenty more surprises waiting in the wings.
