Singer Vinka has shared that her partner, Nelly Witta, initially had reservations about her pursuing music, fearing the industry’s associated lifestyle. However, he eventually became a strong supporter of her career.
Swangz Avenue songstress Vinka has opened up about the early stages of her music career, revealing that her significant other, Nelly Witta, was not initially keen on her venturing into the entertainment industry.
Speaking in a recent interview, Vinka shared that she met Nelly while she was working in artist management, a role that preceded her transition to performing.
When she shared her aspirations to become a musician, Nelly, who was then a friend and developing romantic interest, expressed his disapproval.
“He didn’t like the idea of me becoming a singer,” Vinka disclosed, noting that their relationship began to blossom shortly after she released her first three songs. She clarified that Nelly’s concerns were not rooted in fear of her achieving stardom, but rather in the negative perceptions and reputation often linked to the lives of musicians.
Nelly was reportedly worried about the “perception of musicians and the things people say they do,” Vinka explained. This concern stemmed from societal views of the music industry and its artists.
Despite his initial reservations, Vinka expressed gratitude for Nelly’s evolution in support. She highlighted his patience and unwavering encouragement as she navigated her path in the music world, acknowledging his pivotal role in her journey.
His support, she indicated, became instrumental as her career gained momentum.
