Musician Jose Chameleone (real name Joseph Mayanja) and his longtime wife Daniella Atim have both agreed to formally end their marriage after living apart for five years.
The mediation proceedings are being handled by Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga of the Anti-Corruption Court, who is yet to endorse the agreement.
According to the terms reached by both parties, Atim will retain custody of the couple’s children.
The two have five children together: Abba Mayanja (19), Alfa Mayanja (16), Alba Mayanja (13), Amma Mayanja (11), and Xara Mayanja (6).
In the agreement, Chameleone committed to paying Shs2 million (approximately $700) monthly for child support, with further discussions ongoing regarding property sharing.
The couple confirmed that all property acquired during their marriage will be determined by the Family Division of the High Court. A petition was filed before the court on March 20, 2025, citing that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.

In her affidavit, Atim stated that the marriage collapsed due to Chameleone’s actions, including lack of love, affection, compassion, and empathy, which she says left her emotionally distressed.
Chameleone is being represented by lawyer Friday Kagoro.
“There is no collusion, condonation, or connivance as to the dissolution of the marriage between us,” Atim stated.
