Local musician Kapeke has apologized to fans after walking off the Roast and Rhyme stage midway through his set, attributing the incident to subpar sound quality.

The move has ignited backlash over artist professionalism amid technical glitches.

Dancehall performer Kapeke stunned attendees at the Roast and Rhyme festival on Sunday by abruptly ending his performance and leaving the stage with his dancers, team, and security.

Fans were left bewildered as he cut his set short, prompting widespread confusion at the lively music and lifestyle gathering.

In a follow-up statement, Kapeke expressed regret, pointing to inadequate audio setup as the culprit. ‘Sorry my people for not performing to your expectations coz of bad sound. Next time better,’ he posted.

He performed alongside acts like King Saha and Kalifah Aganaga, but the episode has drawn sharp criticism online.

Many people argue he could have powered through the technical hiccups, sparking broader talks on how musicians navigate live show mishaps.
