Pamela Tumwebaze, the Dean of Students at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono, has tragically passed away. Her death occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Tumwebaze was last seen on Tuesday addressing students during a community worship service at Nkoyoyo Hall, where she served as the keynote speaker. In her speech, she emphasised the importance of building healthy relationships among students.
The university released a statement mourning her loss:
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ms Pamela Tumwebaze, the Director of Student Affairs, and a member of the Uganda Christian University Senior Management. She went to be with the LORD in the early hours of Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Please uphold her children, immediate family and loved ones in prayer. Further details will be shared.”

By press time, police were yet to release a statement on the circumstances surrounding her death. However, unconfirmed news obtained by this website indicates that the late was apparently murdered. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
Pamela Tumwebaze was highly regarded by both students and staff for her dedication to student welfare and her leadership at UCU.
