Musician Grace Khan has shared a powerful story of self-redemption after battling severe alcoholism.

In a recent local television interview, the Ugandan singer revealed that she took full responsibility for her recovery by voluntarily admitting herself to a rehabilitation facility.

Grace explained that during a particularly dark period, she lived alone and recognised her drinking had spiralled out of control, nearly destroying her.

Scrolling through social media one day, she discovered a rehab centre, contacted them directly, and arranged for them to pick her up from home. “I have only battled alcohol and nothing else. I don’t use drugs,” she clarified, emphasising that her struggle was strictly with alcoholism amid personal hardships.

She spent three months in the facility, undergoing intensive treatment that helped her reflect, heal, and rebuild.

Grace proudly credits herself for initiating the process and reviving the person she once was. “I brought myself to rehab,” she stated, highlighting her determination to reclaim her life without waiting for others to intervene.

Though reports suggest family support in her decision and later appeals for financial help with bills, Grace’s narrative centres on personal agency as she chose reflection, sought help proactively, and emerged ready to live soberly again.

Her journey inspires many facing addiction, showing that self-motivation can spark profound change even after isolation or family strains.

Now out of rehab, Grace aims to focus on her music career and a healthier future, proving resilience through self-driven recovery.
