Following successful presidential and parliamentary elections which took place last week, where President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was declared the winner, and Bobi Wine came in second position.

The country is currently participating in the election of its local leaders, including the Lord Mayor, District Chairpersons and LC5 councillors.

Despite the low voter turnout seen on Thursday morning in different polling stations, Bobi Wine has rallied his supporters to turn up in huge numbers and cast their votes for NUP candidates.

He specifically ties up Ronald Balimwezo’s poster, who is running for the position of Lord Mayor for Kampala city.

“I know how everyone feels about elections right now, but to not vote for leaders today would be to surrender all remaining positions to the dictator. Please go out there and vote! The Lord Mayor, District Chairpersons and L.C.5. Councillors are voted for today!
#FreeUgandaNow,” He wrote in a statement released on his Facebook on Thursday afternoon.

Ronald Balimwezo is battling it out with Erias Lukwago for the Lord Mayor’s position in a highly contested bid.
