Kampala is gearing up for a powerful cultural explosion as the Abavandimwe Carnival Festival – Igitaramo is set to take place on 3rd January at the iconic Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The festival, known for celebrating unity, culture, and vibrant East African entertainment, promises an unforgettable start to the new year.

The Abavandimwe Carnival Festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated cultural showcases, bringing together thousands of people to celebrate identity, heritage, and community.

This year’s edition—Igitaramo—is designed to immerse revelers in a full-day experience of music, dance, art, and cultural expression.

From traditional performances to modern Afro-fusion sounds, the festival blends the old and the new, creating a space where generations meet and celebrate together.

The 2025 Igitaramo edition is expected to feature a powerful lineup of artists, DJs, dancers, and cultural troupes. While the full list of performers will be unveiled soon.
