The Uganda Police Force is mourning the untimely death of Senior Police Officer Musa Walugembe, a 45-year-old Superintendent of Police, who was found dead at his residence in Najjanankumbi, Kampala.
Police received information about his death in the early hours of September 3, 2025, at approximately 12:09 AM and promptly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers found the house locked from the inside. As Walugembe lived alone, the police had to force entry by breaking the door shutter.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, a team of investigators recorded statements from relevant witnesses and carried out a thorough scene examination.
The body was later transported to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
Preliminary findings revealed no visible injuries or abrasions on the body. According to neighbours, Walugembe had recently complained of chest pain. He was last seen alive on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
The Uganda Police Force extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Superintendent Musa Walugembe. May they find strength and peace during this difficult time.
