Despite having just a couple of singles out, Melissa Mulungi has built a considerably close fan base, especially on her different social media platforms.

The 28-year-old who uses her TikTok page to promote Ugandan music by doing cover versions of her favourite Ugandan songs now plans to meet her fans in person in October.

While speaking to Kaiyz Kawalya, Melissa Mulungi revealed that her TikTok engagements have created a small online family for her, and she desires to meet, greet, and perform for them.

I’m doing a meet-and-greet concert. I have been asked to do a concert before, but I told them, “Guys, I have like three songs out, what am I going to sing?” But through my live broadcasts on TikTok, I have created some sort of a family, and I want us to just have a time to meet each other, get together, and know each other.

We have couples that have been created on my live broadcasts – people that have become serious couples and are now in serious relationships. I will perform my songs and also my favourite covers.

It will be a small number of people who really support me, but I want to meet them in person. We are still discussing the venue, but it will be in October, in Kampala, Uganda.
