The National Unity Platform (NUP) has launched a nationwide fundraising campaign to rally support and mobilize resources for its electoral efforts.

The drive, announced by the party’s top leadership this week, is centered around community participation and voluntary giving, with an open invitation extended to all well-wishers and supporters across the country and beyond.

Dubbed the “NUP 2026 Solidarity Drive”, the initiative is aimed at raising funds to facilitate campaign logistics, grassroots mobilization, candidate training, and voter education.

NUP officials emphasized that the drive is entirely voluntary and rooted in the spirit of collective action, transparency, and people-driven politics.

“This is not just a fundraiser—it is a movement,” said a senior NUP spokesperson during the campaign launch. “We are calling on all Ugandans who believe in change, democracy, and justice to stand with us as we prepare to take our message of hope and unity to every corner of the country.”

NUP has also made headlines for its decision to give a free pass to all aspirants seeking elective positions on its ticket in 2026.

Unlike other political parties that impose costly nomination or vetting fees, NUP has opted to eliminate such financial barriers.
